A practical workshop focused on learning some basic mindfulness techniques—mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR)—and applying these in daily life. Designed to give therapists a beginning acquaintance with MBSR as a complement to psychotherapy methods. Based on the methods of Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD.
1. to be able to describe the basics of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) to clients or clinicians
2. to demonstrate simple mindfulness techniques in an outpatient psychotherapy setting.
