Integrating contemporary neuroscience, attachment theory, and ethical frameworks, the program examines touch as both a regulatory and relational intervention within clinical practice. Participants will explore how touch influences nervous system regulation, interoceptive awareness, and therapeutic alliance, while critically evaluating its indications, contraindications, and potential risks. The training emphasizes the impact of developmental attachment, power dynamics, and cultural context on touch experiences, supporting clinicians in making informed, ethical decisions in practice. Through structured instruction and guided experiential exercises, participants develop practical skills in using touch to support stabilization, containment, and integration of somatic experience. This training is designed for licensed mental health professionals and healthcare providers, including psychotherapists, counselors, social workers, and body-oriented practitioners, who wish to integrate ethically grounded, trauma-informed touch into clinical practice. Healthcare professionals will be able to incorporate the tools and practices offered in this program in ways beneficial to clients or patients.
